Berala Bears Junior Joseph O’Neill has captained the Bulldogs Jersey Flegg team to a 22-20 win over the Sydney Roosters.
Joseph O’Neill was named Man of the Match in the Grand Final with an outstanding kicking game strangling the Roosters open attack.
“Congratulations to Joey, he’s a very hard worker and is always working on his own game to be better. I must say I would really like to see him run the ball more as that’s where you really get to see the best of his game!.” Said Bears coach McGrath.

Also congratulations to Danny Gabrael, another who has played for the Bears alongside Joey O’Neill. Danny grabbed a crucial try in the 40th minute to lock the scores up at 14-14 before the conversion had the Dogs in front 16-14. From that point the Bulldogs were never headed running out winners 22-20.
