Api is such an unassuming character who has always given back to his junior club at Berala Bears.
Senior Club Coaches at Bears Craig McGrath and Hassan Kowaider, you seriously could not wipe the smile off these guys faces when they heard the news.
Coach McGrath said, “I know Api still has ties with the club. This has been evident by his attendance at presentation days and the occasional drop in on game days. He has also put his hand up to help out at training.”
Coach McGrath and Kowaider recall “Api as a gifted junior player, wonderful spirited person and both could never understand why he was not considered in junior reps.
5/8 was his position back then and both coaches still consider he would offer plenty in that position also!”. Although both agree he has proven to be a tremendous strike player plus 50 tackles gamer at No.9.
We wish Api all the very best on his debut. More still to come for this guy and hopefully just the beginning!
