Fantastic news to hear local Bears Junior Api Koroisau has been appointed Wests Tigers captain for season 2023.

After being overlooked by the Bulldogs Koroisau debuted for South Sydney in 2014, playing in their drought-breaking premiership victory over the Bulldogs later that year. After a stint at Penrith, followed by four seasons at Manly, Koroisau returned to the Panthers in 2020 and helped the club to three successive grand final appearances, winning in 2021 and 2022.
A current NSW State of Origin representative, Koroisau is the incumbent Blues hooker and is the reigning Dally M Hooker of the Year.
Also a special mention to David Klemmer, also a Bears junior who will team up with Api this season.
