BERALA Bears Junior Rugby League Football Club has plenty to celebrate this week with the minor premiers Under 9s team, along with the Under 11s winning their premierships, and the Under 12s being runners up.

Club President Omar Sankari said it was a massive achievement.
“Congratulations to our boys winning their grand finals and to the Under 12s, it wasn’t the result we wanted but great work making it to the grand final,” he said.
Under 11s coach Harry Elkeir said he had been training many of the same boys in the side for the past three years.
A coach for the past four years, the first year he became qualified and took over, the team also reached the grand final.
He said all the teams had been working hard last year and this year after the competition took a hit during covid.
“We are now right back to where we want to be,” he said.
“We did a lot of extra training last year, not just on the field but so a couple of the new boys could get to know all of us well.
“I watched their confidence and excitement grow as their skills improved and their ability to play together as a strong team skyrocketed.
“We’re all thrilled with the result and can’t wait for the next season to get underway.”
